Artists for Kamala Art Sale: Launching on October 1st!

The Artists for Kamala online sale will open on October 1st and conclude on October 8th. The sale will have both an auction component as well as some pieces sold on a fixed price basis. All funds raised will go directly to the Harris Victory Fund.

“I am honored to be part of Artists for Kamala, and to support in this historic campaign. Throughout Kamala Harris’ career as a district attorney, California Attorney General, United States Senator, and Vice President, Kamala has shown a commitment to public service, tackling injustice, and bringing people together to protect our freedoms and expand opportunities for all Americans. Today our country faces many challenges, from threats to reproductive rights to economic inequality. Kamala has the vision, tenacity and compassion needed to face these challenges and concrete plans to improve the lives of all Americans.

We share Jamaican heritage, love for the diverse fabric that represents the best of this country, and a drive to push forward meaningful change. I’m absolutely delighted to endorse Kamala Harris for President.”

-Simone Leigh, Artist

Campaign Finance Guidelines

All art sales benefiting the Harris Victory Fund are contributions to HVF. As such, purchasers must comply with HVF’s donor restrictions (e.g. no foreign nationals or lobbyists) and no sale may exceed the donor’s contribution limit to HVF. Because these sales are contributions to HVF, each donor must complete a HVF contribution form when they make their purchase.

Art sales will also be subject to applicable state and local sales taxes. Any in-kind contributions made by artists will be publicly disclosed on HVF’s next campaign finance report filed with the FEC. All art purchases will also be reported as contributions to HVF.

In order to contribute to the Harris Victory Fund the donor must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder). They must be at least 18 years old.

The first $3,300/$5,000 from a person/multicandidate committee (“PAC”) will be allocated to Harris for President for the general election. The next $41,300/$15,000 from a person/PAC will be allocated to the DNC. The next $510,000/$255,000 from a person/PAC will be split equally among the Democratic state parties from these states: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, and WY. Any additional funds will be allocated to the DNC, subject to applicable contribution limits. A contributor may designate their contribution for a particular participant by contacting contact@kamalaharris.com. The allocation formula above may change if following it would result in an excessive contribution. Contributions will be used in connection with federal elections, may be spent on any activity as each committee determines in its sole discretion, and will not be earmarked for any particular candidate. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of the employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 per election cycle. Harris Victory Fund does not accept contributions from corporations or their PACs, unions, federal contractors, national banks, those registered as federal lobbyists or under FARA, SEC-named executives of fossil fuel companies, or foreign nationals.
